About Klari

Founded 2026

Klari is a Nigerian SaaS for NDPA compliance. We replace the Excel spreadsheets and email threads most DPOs run their compliance on with a single audit-ready system of record.

The wedge

The Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 came into force in June 2023; GAID 2025 supersedes the prior implementation framework as of 19 September 2025. NDPC has been aggressively enforcing: ₦766m against Multichoice, ₦32.8m against Meta, 1,368 firms placed under formal investigation in August 2025, ₦7.2bn collected since enforcement intensified.

The mid-market — the 1,368 firms — buy their first piece of compliance software in 2026. We're building that software for the Data Protection Officer specifically: structured RoPA, guided DPIA, append-only audit log, regulator-ready PDFs.

The longer game

Klari V1 is the NDPA wedge. The destination is the compliance operating system Nigerian mid-market companies use across NDPA, tax (NRS), payroll, and emerging frameworks — the default first choice for any DPO, CFO, or Head of Compliance setting up internal systems. Phase 2 deepens the NDPA story (breach notification, DSR workflow, CAR filing). Phase 3 adds tax. Phase 4 adds payroll. Phase 5 (optionally) goes regional.

We'll build profitably to phase 3 without external capital. Whether to raise after that is a future decision.

Structure

Klari Technologies Limited (Nigeria) is the customer-facing entity — Naira billing, CAC registered, Lagos office. All customer trade and all NDPA processing sits inside the Nigerian entity.

People

Klari is currently a one-person company. The founder splits time between product engineering and customer development. The first commercial hire (a B2B SDR or junior account executive) lands in Phase 2 once the design-partner pilots have proven willingness to pay.
